Gabriella had walked all the way to school, taking the long way of course. She didn't know why, but she was totally not looking forward to this school day. Her hair was slightly curled naturally, because she hadn't really spent much time doing her make up or anything. The brunette looked a mess, she'd been up all night doing some homework which she'd completely forgot about. So, she wasn't really... focused... at all.
As she wandered through the doors, like usual she drew no attention. To be honest, that's what she wished happened all the time but it never did. She was hardly ever ignored, usually someone had some smart remark to announce. Gabriella wandered down to her locker, looking at the floor. She knew that people would start commenting if they actually saw her face, so she just looked downwards.
That was a mistake, especially when your as clumsy as this brunette was. It wasn't long before she managed to walk into someone, her books scattering all over the floor. 'Great' She thought, kneeling down to pick them up. Hoping that the person she'd bumped into would just ignore her & carry on walking.

Toronto wandered through the halls unnoticed, listening to her iPod. She wasn't immensely popular due to her glee club status. She glanced around as she walked aimlessly before homeroom. Blaine had had a free period at the start of the day so he had dropped Tia-the nickname she'd given herself to make it easier to address her-off before his long drive to Dalton Academy.
Toronto half-gasped quietly when she walked straight into someone, dislodging one of her headphones so she heard the clatter of books on the ground. She immediately crouched to help gather the books, her new sneakers squeaking quietly on the polished ground. She was really proud of her new sneakers, she'd saved up her money from her part-time waitressing job at BreadstiX. She dusted them off lightly between gathering books.
Tia noticed that she hadn't even noticed who she'd crashed into yet. The brunette glanced up at the girl. "Hey, Gabriella!" She smiled, straightening up with her pile of books. She dusted her skirt down and held out the pile of books to the brunette.

Gabriella was slightly embarrassed that she'd walked into someone, that's why her cheeks redden slightly, turning a rosy pink color. Then, when she heard the other girl talk, she brushed her fringe out of her eyes so she could see who it was. Toronto, one of the girls in her classes & also, one of her friends. "Hey" The brunette smiled, taking the books out of the other girls hands. "Sorry about that, I should have been watching were I was going." She added, trying to hide how stupid she felt.
After all, only clumsy, stupid people bump into others down a corridor that is about a mile wide. God, she really hated herself sometimes & man, did she take after her father a lot. The brunettes cheeks slowly returned to their normal peach color as she slid the books into her small black bag.

Toronto smiled and shrugged. "I should have paid attention, too. Kinda just wrapped up in my own little world." She gestured to the iPod as she wound the cable of her headphones around it and tucked it into the pocket of her skirt. She liked Gabriella, she was a nice person and they were brief friends but they weren't very close so Tia was unsure of what to say or talk about. She just smiled politely, twirling a strand of straight brunette hair around her fingers.

Gabriella smiled at her not-so-close friend, who she knew loved her music. She watched the other brunette twirl her hair around her fingers, while the clumsy, stupid, ugly one - aka. Gabriella - tried to think of something to say. It was hard talking to someone you only talked to like once a month, plus she wasn't one to gossip. That's when something totally random came into her head, it wasn't the best conversation starter but it'd suffice. "Do you know what we've got first? I didn't have time to check my schedule this morning." The brunette admitted, smiling. One thing she did know was that Toronto was in about 99% of all of her lessons, so they were bound to be together.

"Oh um..." The question caught Toronto a little offguard. "Spanish." She concluded with another smile. Gabriella was in her Spanish class, actually Gabriella was in all of Toronto's lessons bar glee club. She wondered idly how they were not closer friends, seeing each other for most of every day. Maybe that was why. Toronto did consider herself annoying. Shrugging off the thoughts, Toronto returned to planet Earth. "Then math and physics." She added helpfully.

The brunette smiled back, glad that they'd struck up some sort of communication that wasn't awkward. "Awesome, one of my favorites!" Gabriella replied, happily. She actually loved Spanish and was one of the best in her class, languages was something that really interested her. That's one thing she didn't like about herself, she had hardly anything in common with anyone in her family or in this school. After all, both of her parents had been popular & her brother was popular. The people at this school were all willing to climb the popularity ladder, everyone but her. Why she was so different she didn't know, but she didn't mind. It was just who she was. Who could deny her, her own personality?

Toronto smiled again. "It's one of my favourites, too but I suck at it." She laughed, knowing she barely made sense. "And math and physics suck in general." She added. Math was something she needed and something her father tutored her in a little. Although she'd never admit that to many people. Even though Blaine wasn't a math teacher, he still had a degree in the subject.

Gabriella smiled at the dark haired girl in front of her, her mind cast to back to how useless she was at Maths. "I think everyone will agree with that." She laughed, her baby like laugh. Then, she began walking down the corridor again. She only started walking because the bell had just rang, so she knew that Toronto would walk with her too. She liked Toronto, she was nice. By 'nice' she simply meant treat her as an equal and not an underdog. Though, she was a generally nice girl anyway.

Toronto nodded in agreement and skipped the short way to catch up with Gabriella. Making a small diversion to collect her Spanish textbooks from her locker, Toronto resumed her place beside the brunette as they walked. She pulled out her cell and sent a quick text to both fathers, asking how they were.

Gabriella smiled as Toronto re-appeared next to her. Then, she watched as the dark haired girl pulled out her phone. "Cool phone." She said, not wanting the silence to re-appear as well. They rounded a corner, heading toward the large spanish class room. The brunette decided to ask if Toronto would sit next to her, after all she sat alone & Toronto would be nice company. "Wanna sit next to me?" She asked, smiling sweetly.

"Thanks." The brunette answered somewhat awkwardly. She didn't like to brag about things, unless it was her talent or that of her fathers and only then, she did so when she was among close friend's who would know she was joking. Toronto tucked her cell into her pocket and smiled as she heard the question from Gabriella's lips. "Sure!" She answered excitedly. "That'd be totally awesome!"
